Mud Volley Ball Winners

Pictured above is the winning team of the 2012 Mud Volley Ball at the Turkey Trot on Saturday. The team name is Flounder Pounders and they are repeat winners from last year. Greg Taylor "Pullin 4 LaRita" in the Tractor Pull

Shown above is Greg Taylor of the Alfordsville Area as he drives his tractor in the Turkey Trot Tractor Pull last Thursday night. Greg Taylor pulling his Ford tractor named "Pullin' for LaRita" named in honor of his wife LaRita who continues to recover from a head-on automobile accident from October of 2011. Dennis Walton Drives in Tractor Pull

Dennis Walton participates in tractor pulling events in central and southern Indiana as well as Kentucky. The event drew a large crowd as well as a large group of participant form across the Midwest. Photo Finish to Remember!

It was nearly a photo finish as you can see the white line on the ground as Aaron Tinkle edged out Sarah Graber by a nose in the Championship Turkey Race on Sunday at Montgomery. It could not have been much closer as Tinkle finished in a time of 26:78 just one second ahead of Graber. Aaron Tinkle was the Defending Champion from last year. Finishers in the Turkey Race

Pictured above is the top three finishers in the Championship Turkey Race on Sunday at the Turkey Trot. Shown here is the winner Aaron Tinkle, (left) Sarah Graber, second place (center) and Amia Stoll, third place (right). Standing behind the three top finishers is Brad Traylor the President of the Montgomery Ruritan Club who presented the Championship Trophy. Pig Wrestling Teams

Picture above is one of the Pig Wrestling teams as they put the pig on the tire and finish with a good time. Joe Robinson, an official in the pit is seen holding his hand in the air and blowing the whistle as the crowd gives the kids a big hand. The Pig wrestling has become a big item on Sunday at the Turkey Trot and draws a big crowd. The Turkey Trot once again had good crowds and on Saturday and Sunday it was like a beautiful Fall Day. Champion Turkey Racer

Pictured above is Champion Turkey Racer Aaron Tinkle (No. 3) as he is presented the Championship trophy by Ruritan President Brad Traylor after the Championship race on Sunday at the Montgomery Turkey Trot. Tinkle who started at Post 3 in the Championship race just edged out Sarah Graber for the Championship trophy. Aaron is the son of Kevin and Liz Tinkle of Montgomery and is a third grader at Barr-Reeve. He was also the Championship Turkey Racer in 2011. (Picture by Louis Kavanaugh Jr.)

Horse Pull Champion

Pictured above is the winner team of Horses along with their crew after the Horse Pull on Saturday. The Horse Pull was moved to the Dinky Center because of the rain from Friday night. As it turned out it was a beautiful day and a large crowd turned out for the Horse Pull at Dinky's as the team owned by Joe Edwards of Crawfordsville was the winner. Media Race Participants

Shown above is members of the media who participated in the Media Turkey Race this past Thursday Night. From Left to right is John Dosch from WWBL Radio who won the Media Race for the 7th time in the last 8 years. Next to him is Barry Strong from the Loogootee Tribune who came in 2nd, Ty Hunter a DJ for WBDC Radio who came in 3rd place, Crystal Mills from WITZ in Jasper, Dean Miller representing the Montgomery Ruritan Club and Dennis Glade from the Washington Times Herald. 5 K Race Winnders

Barr Reeve Chorus

SShown here is the Barr-Reeve Chorus as it lined up for a picture just prior to them singing the National Anthem at the Demo Derby Sunday at the Turkey Trot. Demo Winner

2012 Service Award Winners

Pictured above is the 2012 Montgomery Turkey Trot Service Award winners after the presentation on the main stage Saturday night at the Montgomery Turkey Trot. The presentation was made just prior to the Casey James Show on the main stage. Service Award Winners are Dale Foster (Center) and Bob Miller (right) and Turkey Trot Chairman Dewayne Shake (left), who made the presentation. Each year the club honors members who have given service not only to the club, but to the community and both men have gone beyond the call of duty. Dale Foster served as Park Manager for many years will Bob Miller was aformer President of The Montgomery Ruritan Club and former Ruritan Park Board Member.
